Honoring Leaders in the Community

Purpose:

To recognize special and dedicated individuals who contribute their time and expertise to enable success and a lifelong love of sports.

Whether a teacher, coach, parent, or other positive role model, the success of students, athletes, teams, and programs are many times influenced by the actions and contributions of others.

The Donald Asmonga Foundation Leadership Award recognizes these special individuals who contribute their time and expertise to enable success and a lifelong love of sports.

The Donald Asmonga Foundation Leadership Award(s) are selected by the Foundation’s Board of Directors and announced at the Donald Asmonga Foundation Golf Classic banquet each year. The Foundation’s Board will consider individuals that:

  • Maintain a dedication to the advancement of the scholar;

  • Support and create growth opportunities for local athletic programs and scholar-athletes;

  • Exhibit strong, natural leadership qualities and serve as a positive role model for all members of the community; and,

  • Support non-profit and other organizations that provide sports and educational opportunities for male and female athletes.

To be considered for the Donald Asmonga Foundation Leadership Award, individuals can be nominated or may self-nominate by contacting us here. The deadline for nominations is April 30, 2025.
